Preparation for the final week of lessons

We will start the week with Paper 2. Please complete the Crescent Girls' School paper left in my pigeon hole before we start the week. If you did not manage to collect the paper, you can find it here

Once we finish the Crescent paper, we will move on to do feedback for Project Omega. Please ensure that you have at least one laptop per group which can connect to the Internet for group writing. Also, think through the questions and do question analysis and brainstorming for all of them before you come.

Preparation for Term 4 Week 2

Lessons will proceed in the following order:

1) Commonwealth Sec paper feedback. Complete the paper handed out at the end of Term 3. We will take 2 lessons for this.

2) Paragraph development using the list of 5 questions we used this week for question analysis. Each group needs to have at least one laptop that can connect to the Internet. We will likely take two lessons for this as well. To make good use of the time, it is best to relook the questions and think of how you might want to develop your points and do some research for examples. One day will be devoted to doing the expository questions and the other day the reflective.

3. Timed practice for Paper 1 (depends on whether item 2 above is well done).

Mr Ong Chin Meng

Preparation for Term 4 Week 1

If you haven't already done so, complete the TKGS Prelim 2015 Paper 2, mark your work using the answer scheme found here and complete the survey found here.

The CWSS MYE 2016 paper is meant for Term 4 Week 2. You can complete it first if you wish.

No other work has been set for the Sep holidays. Please aim to complete the 10 (Term 1) + 19 (Term 2) comprehension papers printed for you by graduation. It will help you do well for Paper 2.

For Paper 1, you can prepare essay outlines for some common topics and think of examples for them. Even if you don't get to use the essay outlines now, it might come in handy in JC.

Mr Ong Chin Meng

Preparation for Term 3 Week 10

We will be doing feedback for Prelim Paper 1 this week. The only prep you need to do is to come with essay plans for the four Paper 1 questions. They are as follows:

1.     Write about a time when you were embarrassed. Why will this incident always remain in your memory?

2.     Does sport always contribute to harmony and understanding?

3.     Describe a time when you experienced prejudice. What are some of your reflections from this incident?

4.     Young people today are selfish. Do you agree?
